I have seen some really good Pakistani movies and them some that were not so good but I have never ever seen utter crap that was Chhalawa
I went to see it because I have faith in the kind of movies that Mehwish Hayat does.
Well that opinion of mine certainly got busted. It was like I was sitting in a third rate theatre play where the jokes were R rated and hardly funny. It wasn’t a movie it was a mistake of the worst kind imaginable.
Even though most of the sings were pretty good including the title song and eve chirrya which had no place in the movie but the sound track was what saved the movie from being an utter horror. For now I’d say it was just an utter mess that had no coherence, storyline, characters or even a reason to exist. Don’t throw your money away on this.
Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
