Today I came across a commendable effort being made by FPCCI and in particular by a lady named Iqra Asher who is the Chair Person of the Standing Committee Fashion Online FPCCI Karachi.
It seems Iqra is launching a website that is the Amazon for the Pakistani Women working from home! With ATC Digital as their Technology Partners they are hosting Designers to Fitness Coaches, Makeup Artists, Photographers, Trainers to whatever initiative an at home Pakistani woman chooses to take this market place is made for her!
Best thing about it is that it has the backing of the FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry) with the support of the think tank that makes up this standing committee. This market place has been named IQ Fashion Design House Online and is scheduled to open to women around the world.
An excellent opportunity for women entrepreneurs who are looking to reach to a bigger market in terms of sales of their business services! An even greater initiative is how the first 100 women are going to be allowed free services upon signing up!
There is a seminar on this in Karachi tomorrow with some heavy weights from makeup and fashion industry coming in and is being chaired by the honorable Dr. Haroon who is the king pin when it comes to bridals!
If you are a woman entrepreneur working from home looking for an opportunity to expand then this is it!

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
