Laal Kabootar is not a movie it is an experience. From the first scene the movie sets a dynamic pace that encapsulates the essence of Karachi and its Lifestyle that doesn’t waver till the end.
I know I keep saying this but I am just so so super proud of our Pakistani Movie Industry! This movie is totally different to what we have seen here so far.
It is safe to say that the characters in this movie are so well crafted that they would remind you about a well written character from a Hollywood Flick.
Or let me just say that this is the first Pakistani Movie I saw that actually reminded me of a Hollywood or might I add (ahem) a Bollywood movie with its own cult following.
The performances of everyone in the movie were so well that there isn’t a single weak link I can point out. Well casted and well directed is all I can say!
Fast paced, dynamic, well acted, well choreographed, raw, brutally honest the movie doesn’t lose tempo for even a minute! The characters are well rounded and oh so relatable Karachi. This is the first of its kind Pakistani Movie that I have seen and there wasn’t a single moment where I had to excuse its inadequacy by reminding myself its ok it is after all a Paki movie and we are still growing up….
And just by the way… the Trailer doesnt do the movie justice so there it is! My only critique!

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
