Hawa Hawa has a newer Version now…..
By the same Hassan Jahangir we used to love so much of course! Only there is Gul Panrra singing with him now.
Unfortunately I’m really not too happy with the new rendition…
The original Hawa Hawa had a freshness to it that never faded with time. Every time the old classic would come up I at least got swept up to a time gone by when everywhere I turned this was the song we heard and not for weeks or months but literally for years this was a cult fav.
Our neighbors tried to do a remix and unfortunately failed. Honestly when the original Maestro Hassan Jahangir did a remake of the song I had high hopes which came crashing down. Hassan seems to have lost the spirit that made the original song great. To say he sang in a manner that was lackluster is an understatement. Unfortunately Gul comes across with a weak treble to and the song has a wheezy whining quality to it that is a solid put off! Awful decision to redo the thing.

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
