Zarnak Sidhwa an Inspiration!
One of the most revered chefs on TV Zarnak has one of the most recognized celebrity chef status with an equally staunch following.
I met her one afternoon and I must say I was quite taken in with her aura. Calm, crisp and extremely professional it was an absolute pleasure meeting up with The Zarnak Sidhwa.
Sidhwa belongs to the priest class of Parsis and says that cooking is in her blood. She further elaborates that she started cooking at a very young age. First to generally help around the house as her mom was a working woman but then slowly it became a passion and she dedicated a major chunk of her life to cooking for pleasure. Being a child of the 80s just like her, my first question to her was how did she cope with a lack of sophisticated ingredients in the Pakistani Retail Sector at that time? She told me that she had a list of ingredients and cooking tools etc. and every time someone would travel she had her wish list ready! Relatable much.
Zarnak, let me tell you here readers, was teaching us how to make chocolates at home when the very concept was alien in Pakistan and is now rightly one of the foremost food authorities in Pakistan with a formidable TV Presence. Her recipes are easy to follow and fuss free which makes her a favorite amongst her fans.
