Review of the Movie Baji
And here we have a movie of some class! The kind of movies that we definitely want to see on the Pakistani silver Screen. It’s a gorgeous movie that shows the glamour of the high life and at the same time explores the darker sides of what happens to those who are living them
Beautifully crafted (do we expect anything less than Saquib Malik) it’s a movie that has a pretty fluid screen play doesn’t stall, doesn’t bore and moves relentlessly on to its final culmination. To say that the role was tailor made for Meera Jee would certainly not be an exaggeration. She stunned with her performance and her beauty both. From the Diva to a desperately scared person she transitions into the multi-faceted protagonist with ease.
Another noteworthy mention is the performance of Ali Kazmi. Already established as a stalwart actor he has managed to play this role with finesse. But if someone rivalled Meera Jee for screen space it was Usman Khalid Butt. To say he looked drop dead gorgeous would be no understatement. He played the role of a handsome rogue with perfection.
The songs (some remixed) were beautifully choreographed and well composed. The glamour of the movie and the actual story were all beautifully set up. A must see!

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
