Being Single all my life has been a choice for me and nothing else.
As times change and the world progresses around us I watch with alarm as more and more young people put themselves out there in search of the perfect partner without a thought to how bizarre the actual dating dance has become in Pakistan.
I know that a lot of people are offended by my dating advice and consider it to be outdated or dated (sigh) take your pick but there a few things that should never change.
I have had a lifetime to observe the behaviour of how the right and the not so right behave and I have time and again put up advise on my social media about safe dating and today I’d like to address one constant cry that I hear from both girls and boys again and again during my mentoring or training sessions or just through lending an ear to someone desperately needing to vent…
“But they Promised….”
How my heart breaks when I hear that.
There is no argument here dearies. Promises are cheap and words are free. Everyone plays the game.
Actions speak louder than words so please do not fall for pretty words, whispered nothings and big promises and hopes. Those who truly care for you DO and those who have an excuse for every opportunity missed are just playing you and they DON’T care…
Learn to tell the difference and save yourself a lot of heartache!
Look for actions and not words. Protect yourself by trusting what you are recieving not hearing and you should be fine!
Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
