Like always New Year’s Eve rolls around and its decision time. Almost always I stick to my all time fav ball that I
have been attending nonstop for years and decline all other invites. This year however I decided to party hop. Now even though generally you can party the night away as you feel but the three parties I had decided to go to were all pretty different. From a very formal ball to an equally formal and somewhat sedate house party to a rocking third and last quite a wilder stop I had my evening chalked out perfectly.
Now what to wear is usually a quandary when you shift gears like this but like most years this year too I opted to wear a sari.
The sari I choose this year was a heavy Chantilly lace in Mid Night Navy Blue with beautiful silk tassels on its end to give it a little pizazz.
I kept my makeup minimal but colorful. Kohl eyes and a bright lip with a simple blowout to keep my entire look understated for a smooth transition from the ball to the more glamorous after party.
I chose to ditch all jewelry except my watch which I coupled with two diamond bangles and a bracelet to go with it. A matching sequins bag and I was good to dance the night away.

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
