And one day last week I up and get a call from RJ Shagufta Yasmeen from Apna Karachi FM 107!
Moi? Ok! I’m very happy for sure!
She wanted me to come and have a chat with her on her show Mukamal Ghar where she showcases women who
juggle families and careers.
Well did I feel happy and important or what!
Not to put too much emphasis on my feelings of pride I picked myself up and landed at her studio about 5 minutes
before the show was scheduled to begin as I was told to. She was the first person to greet me when I arrived at the
studio and Shagufta is just wow.
Bubbly, earthy and full of life she made any feelings I had of nervousness fly away at once. By the time we had
finished chatting and I had been instructed on how to speak into the mic it was almost as we had known each other
for a considerable time. Chatting while on air and gossiping while we were off I never realized where time flew by.
Thank you Apna Karachi FM 107 for inviting me over and giving me a chance to communicate my views on Pakistani
women based concerns 🙂

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
