I love movies and now that is an understatement! From a young age watching movies was a favorite pastime of mine. I guess it won’t come as a surprise because my parents loved watching a good Movie and loved Music. Not only have I watched all movies and heard songs from when I was growing up but am also familiar with the movies and the music from when they were growing up.
Of course back then going to the cinema really wasn’t an option in Pakistan. They were generally ramshackle and seedy and generally considered best to be avoided. And only in the last decade or so have I witnessed a resurrection of Movie Cinemas in Pakistan and in the last few years the rebirth of the Pakistani Cinema.
The fact that I there is a Pakistani movie Industry makes me swell up with pride and there is hardly a movie I won’t go watch.
When I started my Blog and started writing I knew that Movie Reviews will play as big a part in my writings as maybe Fashion or Beauty or lifestyle and of course it stands true. From Lollywood to Hollywood and sometimes a little Bollywood thrown in somewhere too there is hardly ever a movie we do not review on our blog. Without spoilers and giving away as less as we can about the storyline we try and give as accurate a review as early into the release as possible. So if you are an avid movie goer or even a choosy one and need reviews that are sensible with the pros and cons as accurate as possible you are welcome to browse through all of ours!

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
